I started CrossFit at the end of 2011 in West Palm Beach, FL. I did it for about 10 months all the way up to my 7th month of pregnancy. I took a two year break and joined again in May of 2014 after I moved to Indiana. Even with a bachelor’s degree in finance and having worked in investments for Northern Trust for 7 years, I realized that CrossFit is my passion. I wanted to help others with their fitness goals and change their lives. Being a coach is the most rewarding job I’ve had. What is the best part about CrossFit? The people, the community, and the ability to do things you never thought you could do.
“CrossFit is a way of life. You eat well, you train hard, you push yourself. It teaches you so much about yourself.”- Ben Smith
I have been doing CrossFit for 2.5 years. Working out has been a part of my life since I was a young girl, I grew up enjoying the competitive aspect of sports as well as the friendships it afforded me. Like a lot of adults, I struggled to keep a consistent training schedule that kept me excited. I have always enjoyed doing things that challenged me. After 6 months I finally showed up my first CrossFit class. I knew immediately my life had changed and I wanted more.
CrossFit has taught me how to push my limits, remain humble, to compete and support with the people right next to me (at the same time). CrossFit has changed my perception of my body, health and fitness. Above all I found an entire community of trainers and athletes that believed in me even during times I struggled to believe in myself. I no longer fear my decisions because I am confident that even in the times I make mistakes, that I am capable of anything. I made a decision shortly after finding CrossFit that I would like to help others find these same things for themselves and completed my Level
CrossFit is not sport but a way of life. This is my story and I want to be apart of yours.
Favorite movements: Heavy cleans, deadlifts and squats. Anything with a barbell!
